Important Note:  SGIA requires a minimum of five registered participants to hold the workshops.  We make a ‘Go or No’ decision two and a half weeks prior to the scheduled start date of each workshop.  If you make a decision to come after that date, please check to see if the class will be held before sending in your registration or making travel plans.

We have negotiated a special daily rate of $99 for a single or double, plus tax (11%). Please contact the hotel directly at 703-591-5900 to reserve your room. Be sure to mention the reservation code ‘SGIA’ when you call to secure this special rate. It is recommended that you guarantee your reservation for late arrival by a major credit card.

This block of rooms is only held until fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the workshop.  After that reservations may be granted on a rate and space available basis. If the Comfort Inn be fully booked, call Pam Bettis at SGIA (703) 359-1376 for information.

Airports
Fairfax, Virginia is a suburb of Washington, D.C. and is served by three airports.  It is strongly suggested that you book flights in and out of Washington Dulles International. The second choice is Ronald Reagan National Airport. The third airport, Baltimore-Washington International (BWI), is about 50 miles from Fairfax and will require a rental car or other mode of transportation to get to Fairfax.

Ronald Reagan National Airport - The most direct way to proceed from Reagan National Airport is by Metrorail Orange Line to the Vienna Metro Station. You will find theMetro train from National’s terminal building.  Get on the Blue Line train.  Transfer (no extra cost) at Rosslyn to the Orange Line to Vienna. The fare is $3.35 during rush hour and $2.20 during off hours.  There are fare card machines.  Do not throw away your fare card as you will need it again to get out of the Vienna Station.  www.wmata.com

At the Vienna Metro station there are taxi stands; if no taxi, call 703-941-4000 (Fairfax Yellow Cab-North side of station) or 703-943-4444 (Red Top Cab – South side of station).  Taxi fare from the Vienna Metro Station to the hotel should be approximately $14.
Taxi service from Reagan Airport to the Comfort Inn will cost about $34.

• Comfort Inn Courtesy Shuttle:  The Comfort Inn University Center has a courtesy shuttle that will provide transportation to and from SGIA/SPTF Headquarters.  It does require that you schedule this service in advance with the front desk 703.591.5900.

• Taxi service to SPTF is available from Fairfax Yellow Cab 703.534.1111 or Red Top Cab of Fairfax 703.934.4444. Please call ahead to schedule.
