Inca Boosts Onset Flatbed Printer Production Speed

Using the new bi-directional mode the automated Inca Onset handles print sizes up to 10.5 x 5 ft at a production throughput of up to 6,458sqft /hr. The company says that this equates to a speed of 10,764 sqft/hr resulting in 125 or more full-bed sheets (or 375 - 60x40" posters) an hour can be produced.


EFI Announces Upgraded EFI Fiery Central 1.5

As part of EFI’s Advanced Workstream Solutions, the new version of Fiery Central, coupled with the industry-leading Fiery color digital print server, offers an open, flexible and scalable VDP solution that enables customers to easily develop customized marketing campaigns, regardless of their complexity, says the company.

It supports multiple VDP formats, including the industry standard Personalized Print Markup Language (PPML) and other legacy proprietary languages. Fiery Central integrates into existing workflows and provides centralized VDP job management to execute compelling personalized marketing programs.



MacDermid Autotype Announces New Film Systems

The Quadra-III systems also incorporate modifications specific to the requirements of film positive and negative generation. New software drivers were written that enhance both registration and length accuracy, says Dennis DiValerio, Director of Prepress Product Development for MacDermid Autotype.

Other improvements include wider, symmetrically spaced grit rollers and improved large capacity ink dampers that eliminate ink starvation.



Hirsch acquires controlling interest in U.S. Screen and Inkjet Technology

For 29 years, U.S. Screen has serviced the decorated apparel industry with a wide range of educational services, software and supplies. U.S. Screen also has designed and produced a digital inkjet garment printer in the last four years. US Screen's websites are among the most highly trafficked in the industry, says the company. Hirsch CEO Paul Gallagher says U.S. Screen will continue to operate as an independent company servicing its worldwide dealer network with inkjet garment printing equipment, and screen and inkjet printing software and supplies.
