Printers, suppliers, distributors and manufacturers from around the globe met in Atlanta last week to be part of the specialty imaging event of the year: SGIA 08. It didn’t disappoint.
“Best SGIA ever,” said Michael White of Agfa.
"It was awesome,” said JC Fohl of National Marking Products (Richmond, Virginia). “It's the first SGIA Expo I've come to and I'll definitely be back next year."
“You come to this Expo for three days and it’s like getting a college education on the industry, only for a much cheaper price,” said Richard Hyatt of Mountain Nature Inc. (Clayton, Georgia).
Exceeding all expectations, the Expo was held this year in Hall C of the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta and was home to more than 19,000 attendees, 50+ educational sessions, and 225,686 sq. feet of Expo floor.
Advancing Technologies
Throughout the tradeshow floor, industry experts demonstrated the newest technology advancements in high-production digital and screen print devices as well as direct-to-garment, special effects and post-print finishing tools and equipment.

Perfecting Processes
Registrants were able to choose from 51 educational sessions to help perfect their processes and give their customers total solutions. Ranging from Future Forums on hot topics (High Production Inkjet Printing and Corporate Sustainability) to hands-on screen printing workshops — attendees left SGIA ’08 with the ideas, tools and resources to create superior prints.

Introducing New Ideas and Applications
The latest applications also were on display throughout Hall C — from Technoptic’s high-definition SGIA Expo entry lenticulars to 3M’s vinyl floor graphics displayed throughout the registration center and lobby.
