1. Can I register more than one person at a time?
When registering online you may register more than one attendee as part of the same transaction. An immediate confirmation will be e-mailed to you. All US attendees registered by September 12 will receive their registration materials in the mail. US attendees registering after September 12 and all international attendees should take their confirmation forms (which will contain a bar code) to the self-serve stations located in the Registration Area at the Georgia World Congress Center. There you will print out your Expo entrance badges and event tickets.
Note: A separate registration is needed for each child over 10 years of age who wishes to enter the Expo floor. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
2. What is the best way to book a hotel room?
We have reserved rooms at the 13 hotels shown on our Housing Form. The hotel rates and addresses are also listed on this form. Attendees should not call the hotels directly. To receive our discounted rates, attendees must contact Travel Planners.
To ensure you get the hotel of your choice, we recommend you reserve online or call 800.221.3531 or 212.532.1660. Travel Planners will keep a waiting list if your first choice is not available.
The headquarters hotel for SGIA ’08 is the Westin Peachtree Plaza. Also, the SGIA ‘08 Friday Night Dinner Party will be held there.

4. Is there a charge to attend the exposition?
If you register online by August 6, registration to walk the show floor is free; between August 7 and September 12, registration is $30; after September 12 or on-site, the registration is $35. This price covers attendance for all four days.
5. Can I register for events once I arrive at the Georgia World Congress Center?
Yes, however, there are two prices – online pre-registration and on-site. We encourage you to pre-register before September 12.
6. How do I get from the airport to my hotel?
The Atlanta LINK provides airport shuttle service from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to all of the SGIA ’08 hotels in the downtown area for $16.50 per person one-way/$29 per person round trip. Make your reservations by contacting The Atlanta LINK directly at 866.545.9633.
MARTA is available from the airport to hotels and the Congress Center. MARTA has a rail station right inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This service offers an easy way to get to downtown Atlanta and the SGIA hotels and events. The station is located near the baggage claim area, at the North end of the Airport.
Taxis
Cab fare from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to SGIA ’08 hotels is approximately $30 plus a fee for each additional person. (Actual fares will depend on actual travel time, tips, etc.)
7. Are there any local attraction discounts available?
The Georgia Aquarium is offering SGIA ’08 attendees a discounted rate for admission. |
